While she may not be known for wearing plate mail, you can find the ponytail bow-wielding adventurer that looks a lot like Tomb Raider's Lara Croft - and she's even called the Tomb Raider! If that wasn't enough, you can also find Alucard's portrait among the paintings in the High Peak Castle. Similarly, the Rampart Shield in Dead Cells looks a lot like the shield of Alucard - son of Dracula! There are also other Castlevania-themed items, like the Cudgel Shield, which bears a striking resemblence to the Knight Shield in both Castlevania: Symphony of the Night, and Harmony of Despair In the options, you can select from a number of different visual styles for health drops, and one to food items that resemble the ones in Castlevania: Symphony of the night. Not just an action platformer, you can find health items in the world - but that's not all. While it can't be interacted with to save (or resurrect dead enemies), it may be for the best.ĭead Cells takes it cues from the Castlevania in more than ways than one.
